A movie directed by Charles Crichton stars Cleese, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Klien and Michael Palin as the protagonists in the movie. Released on July 15,1988, it is a law-breaking humorous film which centers round a gang of jewel-thieves and its aftermath.

George and Ken hatch a plan to rob diamonds worth 20 million dollars. They decide to team up with Wanda Gershiwtz and Otto West. They successfully heist the diamonds and stash the loot in a secret location. However, while getting away, they are spotted by an old lady.
The following day, Wanda and Otto betray George by having him arrested by the police. They return to retrieve the diamonds, however George and Ken had already moved the diamonds to an undisclosed location. Then Wanda and Otto plan to seduce George's lawyer, Archie, in order to find out the location of diamonds.
Subsequently, the old lady had identified George as one of the accomplices in the robbery. He hires Ken to murder the old lady. However, in all his three attempts to kill her, Ken manages to kill the old lady's dogs. Ken, a dog lover, is bereaved and attends the dogs' funeral. In a twist of fate, the old lady dies of heart failure.
Meanwhile, Otto kidnaps Ken and tortures him to disclose the secret location. Wanda and Archie grow closer, making Otto jealous. As the events unfold, Archie uncovers the truth and confronts Wanda that he is aware of the entire situation. Once again, the jewel thieves find themselves in London.
Eventually, Wanda and Otto recover the diamonds, but she double-crosses him. Otto escapes and tries to kill Archie, but Ken arrives with a steamroller threatening to steamroll Otto. With Otto pinned to the cement, Archie and Wanda board the plane with the diamonds.
